Identification

Circular sunken spots on fruit, often with concentric rings. Pink or salmon-colored spore masses in wet weather.

Sunken fruit lesions. Leaf spots. Pod spots on beans. Fruit rot. Reduced marketability.

Copper fungicide. Remove infected fruits. Improve air circulation. Avoid overhead irrigation.

Chlorothalonil. Mancozeb. Azoxystrobin.

Disease-free seed. Crop rotation (2 years). Avoid working in wet gardens. Mulch to prevent soil splash. Resistant varieties.
